FAMILY TRAGEDY

FAMILY TRAGEDY - Did Drugs Distort Mother's Nature?

Andrea Yates' crime shocked the nation. Did mind-altering drugs prescribed to treat her depression actually drive this young mother of five to drown the children she loved?

Drugging is not the solution to postpartum depression, there are non-drug remedies to the condition. Some one suffering from postpartum depression should see a competent medical doctor who can actually determine and remedy the cause of the problem. Not a psychiatrist who only prescribes antidepressant drugs without even trying to find the actual cause of the depression.

But don't take my word for it, I'm just "any girl" on earth, but the FDA on the other hand does have a responsibility to ensure the truth about antidepressants is published. Read the

Katie Holmes and Scientology

Wow! I think that is great. I assume that you have heard about Katie Holmes and that she said she feels that she is bettering herself with what she has experienced of Scientology so far. I mean it has only been a few weeks but she really seems to embrace Scientology.

From what I can see she seems like a good match for Tom Cruise they are both very energetic and enthusiastic about living life to the fullest. Which definitely is something Tom is taking beyond the all limits. And he really cares for people and does all he can to help them get the tools to live life.

With all the talk in the news about Tom Cruise and Scientology, over the last weeks, you might be asking "What is Scientology?" so I put together some resources that I think can help you to answer that question. So rather than me telling you what to think, check out the following sites and find out for yourself.

My View on Psychiatry

There is one thing that I really dislike and that is what psychiatry is doing to the people of this planet.

I say this as what I have seen is horrible. When I see people that say that antidepressant drugs such as Ritalin and Paxil "help" children I have to say NO as it at best masks the symptoms, it is by no means a cure it does more damage than what I an willing to tolerate. These psychiatric drugs will to more or less degree numb the person until they can not feel anything both physically and mentally, which I think is terrible.

They even make up "mental disorders" so that drugs can be invented to "cure" them. But the damage these money hungry business creates is devastation, just look at the increase in school violence and teen depression resulting in suicide.

Other disorders include bipolar disorder, manic depression, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, postpartum depressionDyslexia and ADD/ADHD just. Even racial discrimination has roots in psychiatry. Here are some of the side effects caused by psychiatric drugs.

So there is my ramblings on psychiatry for today. Find out for our self at Citizens Commission on Human Rights

    Children

Children are very important to me. There are many was to raise a sound and happy child. But there are almost as many ways to make it wrong in some shape or form. How does one know what to do? Well unfortunately there is not ONE set way of doing it right there are probably as many variations as there are children.

Today saw the site of a friend of mine who has collected up some sites with information and tips on how to be a success full parent. Stop by if you are interested in some tips: Scientology religion Helping Children

    My Little Brother

My little brother turned 29 today. Well, he might think he is my big brother, as he is taller than me but I will always be one year ahead of him no matter how much he tries to catch up. So I will always remain his BIG sister.

I would not trade him for any thing in the world, I really love my brother and we get along great now. I must admit that when we were younger we would have "competitions" of who could be the meanest to each other or something like that, in other words we have had or share of fights but that is kind of part of the brother and sister game, as long as one still knows where to draw the line. Communication is the solver of all the problems, in one way or the other.

    jaloezie. What does that mean???

Today I had a funny experience.

A friend of mine suddenly asked me what the hell does "jaloezie"? I said "Jallo..what".  When he spelled it out I could think of nothing even vaguely resembling that. But it made me curious so I went hunting and guess what, it means "jealousy" in Dutch. I went "of course", when you see the two words together it is clear as bell that "jaloezie" is the same as "jealousy". At least for me who speaks several languages fluently. I speak English, German and Swedish and I think it is funny how Dutch is kind of a mixture between all three. Whenever I hear people talking Dutch, I can pick out some words here and there all from the three different languages.

Well that is my ramblings for today.

NancyCartwright.com : The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR)

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) is a non-profit public benefit organization dedicated to exposing and eradicating criminal acts and human rights abuses in the field of mental health.

Nancy Cartwright (yes the one that is the voice of Bart Simpson) is a strong supporter of The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), .

“I can’t say enough about the work this organization has done to stop the enforced drugging of children in our schools,” says Nancy. “It’s very sad to see normal childhood behavior being diagnosed as a disease, or real underlying problems such as nutritional deficiencies, food allergies and missing educational basics, ignored.”

Tom Cruise talks about family values, Scientology and epic movie

Nov. 14 - Staying on top in Hollywood, now that’s a real mission impossible. But it’s something Tom Cruise has managed for 20 years. Like the can-do heroes he plays, he seems to conquer whatever comes his way with lots of hard work, unwavering dedication, and a flash of that famous grin. His latest movie mission is portraying a Civil War captain, who comes to learn the way of the Samurai. Meanwhile, just keeping up with the guy is risky business.

             * * *
Couric: “Watching this movie Tom, I sort of thought, my life is too insane and hectic, I need a simpler more serene lifestyle. [Laughter] And, of course, I decided, you know, I wanted to quit work and go live in a little village and eat rice and you know, tend to the crops. But when you made this did you kind of long for that kind of life where there is an inner peace? And a serenity that seems so hard to come by today?”

Cruise: “Yeah, I feel that though in my life. I do have that in my life.”

Couric: “Really? You feel like you have that center? That inner peace? That tranquility that—”

Cruise: “Oh yeah, sure I do. Yeah, I mean there’s moments when I don’t, but yeah, absolutely, I do. I do. I do feel that.”

Couric: “Where do you get that? Can I have some?” [Laughter]

    Cruise: “It’s called Scientology.”

    L. Ron Hubbard's Original Houses

This is something that I am very excited about. And as soon as I get some time off I will some how arrange to go see them. But what is it you ask. Well, let me tell you. They are THE original houses that L. Ron Hubbard once lived in while he researched and developed parts of the Scientology Religion.

Check out the following links to see more about these houses which have been fully restored to their original state, exactly how they were when L. Ron Hubbard was there. It is just fascinating how well they have been reconstructed.
